Muddahumpin eh! Went to get the car smogged today cuz the registration is almost expired. I didn't think I'd have any problems with the car being "stock." The only modification on the car is the intake, which I have a K&N filter cone. Emission test PASSED at both 15mph and 25mph. He looks under the hood and low and behold.....he sees the filter. Well that's MODIFIED right there. FUGGER! Now, I just lost out $31.74 and it might not sound much(that's a full tank of gas AND a happy meal), it's just that now I have to find a stock intake box and slap it on for an hr, get it smogged again, go to dmv, and put the K&N back in. Either that or I find a place that WOULD let me pass visual. AAA-HOOOOOLD! Hopefully a friend still has a a stock one, but I won't find out till he gets back to me when he gets off work. ARGH!

Well to think that failing smog was bad enough.....I get home later on that night to find my gf's car-my old Z that she now owns- gone. I go inside and she tells me that someone had smashed the driver's side window, so she took it to my parents house. Nothing could be seen from the outside that would interest someone to break in. Maybe her alpine deck? whatever. Anyway, we inquire on a glass for the door and the cheapest we got quoted on was $169. It's hard to find a used one for this car and not too many Z's are in junkyards for that year. Looked around in forums a little bit too, but noone has emailed back yet.
