One of my co-workers who is planning on getting one, said that theyre running out of these rifles since they are old rifles from some military surplus or whatever and no longer in production. Theyre cheap and everyone is looking for the best condition ones to buy, but theyre getting picked up like hot cakes. So yeah, the price going up kinda confirms that the supply is running a bit low, plus the demand for some of them. Actually, if you find one that is still in one piece (everything on that rifle was the exact same pieces from the factory) the value shoots up into the thousands.
no i have the wood stock, but if i do get another m91 i probably will get a synthetic stock for it.
it seems like every time i think i'm done with guns i come across a deal too good to pass up. so i may get an ak after all.

Got my Remington 700 in 300 win mag for 800 just showing up randomly at my friend's shop one day. Waiting for the weather to clear up just a tad more to go out and get the scope sighted.
i bought this monstrosity a few days ago after the deal with the ak fell apart. it's by far the ugliest thing i own, but it sure is fun.

i also bought this.

it allows me to fire .32 rounds in my m91. in case anyone ever though of getting one, don't, it's a waste of money. anyways here are two short videos of both items being tested.
the target is a 8x10 iron plate at about 60yards, it was windy and cold so a few rounds went astray. other than that, this carbine is very accurate right out of the box.
