Hello! My name is Jonathan I am a new Nissan mechanic here in NJ. I am a recovering mk3 supra owner (the beast is for sale if your interested). I just purchased a 1990 240sx with a beaten up ka24e in it and will be rebuilding/building up over the next year as I figure out what the car wants to do.
I have some engine rebuilding experience, couple chevy 350's and the 7mgte in my supra. I have most of an electrical engineering degree which I use on side projects like Megasquirt, a DIY efi computer. I enjoy custom fabrication, welding, I even used to make medieval armor for a living!
My vehicle was purchased for 680 dollars, and is in fair to poor condition. Obscene warpage and pedal pulsation in the brakes, the injectors are leaking from where they connect with the fuel rail, the engine is bathed in dirty oil. The dipstick looked like it had been sitting in black RTV (the oil was that hosed). One major dent in the drivers side rear quarter panel and a little rust book-ending the 3rd brake light.
Hatch release doesnt work, the drivers seat kinda forces you into a pimp-lean reguardless of your actual street credibility. Tires are boasting some excessive positive chamber which I am praying is due to aligment angles and not frame damage
It really is a good looking car though, all in all.
Even though it needs love(name a car that doesnt) everything is there and relatively intact. I look forward to working on this vehicle.
Anyway, Hi!
