hey

hey, im new to 240s, my friends brothers friend lol has a 1995 240sx that i might buy but i dont know if it seems like a good price. He wants to sell it for $6000, it was a project car, it still needs some work. It has a sr20det swap, greddy exhuast(still in the box), greddy intercooler(still in the box) and some other goodies. But it needs a rear end/axle, paint job, and someone to do the wiring harness. Does it seem like a good deal or would i be better off spending a little more on another one that runs already and dosent need any work?
thanks

yeah, he is right i made that mistake and bought a car back in 03. i have only just recently got the motor running this past month. it was a big head ache. if you have that much money already, you can buy a used 240 for pretty cheap and just get the sr swap. probably would have saved me a lot of money.

I'm gonna have to agree here, usually when you get into someone's project you have little to NO idea where to continue from because you not only don't know where they stopped but you don't know what they skimped on. You may be a huge fan of power steering and they may not care for it, you may not need AC and they may have included it, so it's usually best to find a car as close to stock as possible and go on from there. Even though the price is good, a project is usually more headache than it's worth.
