New to 240sx world

New to 240sx world

hey guys im new to the 240sx world. i just bought a 91 hatchback with the ka24 dohc . im into drifting alot and also drag racing. i was wondering what motor wld best suite my taste.

Welcome. Stay with the ka.. Itll hold up. Just build it and tune. Torque. Unless you just have to do a swap. rb or vq would be cool.

if thats the best motor for drift why do ppl put in sr20s all the time? i mean i like the idea of the sr20det. but im just trying to find out whats best for my taste

Because they want stock boost and the capability to rev higher without having to go through building a motor. Go for what you want. With the money you spend on a sr you can build the ka and it would be just as good. I love all s-chassis motors but I tend to go more towards the ka side just because it makes more sense to me.

lol idk what i want lol. this is my first s-chassis car. i just wanting to know which one would be btr. i dnt mind building the ka. but some ppl tend to lean towards the sr20. and by the time i get the motor and turbo i want for it . my ka could be just as good right?

fo sho. id lay low for a while and get good with the ka. they have more than enough power to slide. and if you dont like it then go for whatever else you want or save your money to make it a beast.

best meaning what motor would be best for both drift and drag racing? as far as reliable and power

It's all personal preference. Any motor can be reliable as long as you take care of it. Power depends on how much you want to spend.

money is not object. i have no bills so im looking for a turbod application. seeming like to me the sr20det would be btr suited for my personal preference.
