Hey guys. I've been wanting a 240 for ages now but never got the chance to buy one. After my first car blew, I had enough money to buy a brand new car so I picked up a Ford Focus ZX3. Well, still seems I have some money so I decided to start my 240 project car after all this time. Through the next few months I'll be sure to post plenty of pics and writeups on my progess. For now I just wanted to say hi and that this board ownz.

Welcome Had any problems with the Focus? Ive heard sum pretty bad stories bout them.

 

Nah, no problems whatsoever. It's a 2003. I get the new Duratec 2.3L motor cause I live in Mass. It moves quite nicely.

I'm having the worst fricken luck trying to find an S13. I'm at the point now where I dont even car if its a hatch or a coupe.

as more and more as folks r becoming 'enlightened' about what a really great car the 240 is, sadly, this jewel of the automotive industry is becoming harder to find. however, i didn't say impossible. just be patient and take ur time. i'm sure u'll find what ur looking for. by the way, have u only been searching locally? if so, maybe broadening ur search could yield some more encouraging results. if u haven't already, give these a try:

everytime i've checked those, i've found a good number of 240's. hell, at one point, i was willing to travel up to 650+ miles and even had my brother in san diego looking around there (and i'm in NC). so hang in there and you will find her...

 

FOUND ONE !!!

$500 for it. It's an 89, 5 speed with 160,000 miles on it. I'm not really to concerned about the shape of the interior or even the exterior for that matter. For 500 bucks I cant be to picky. I'm gonna go take a look at it tomorrow.
