Exclamation New here help picking options ?

Hello everyone,
Just bought a s14 96' 240 se manual ofcourse. I just got rid of 2001 audi s4 biturbo v6, 6 speed running 13.6 blew both turbo's bent my lifters to ****. My brother and couple of his friends had 240s always had fun driving them so i thought i would buy one fix it up, so i just bought one... in the next month or so i thought i would put in a rb25det, n1 exhuast, greddy intake man., 5 lug conversion, and tanabe suspension. The car is being used for a daily driver, but i had an s4 which had incredibly suspension so i want something that feels amazing on the road, i love to test my speed and skills 24/7 so i also want something with a little omph in it. i know a lot about audis but still somewhat new to the 240 club here so any suggestions or objections.?

Testing your speed and skills on the street is stupid.... There is a place called the TRACK for that. Now, your plan sounds good. If you want a truly nice handling car, look into other suspension components as well, sway bars, bushings, RUCA, etc...

well not to many people seem to be enthused about the subject, well one of my main conserns is i love this motor in this car, either way im putting it in, by why do most people seem to not care for the rb series motor, and more specific why did everyone forget about the rb25? and is there any possibility of putting the VVTI on a older rb25? i did it once with my prelude on a h23 with a h22v-tec head. hmm..?

Plenty of people have swapped in RB's and still do. I think its just that a majority of our active members at this moment seem to be younger, and may not have the funds to complete such a swap. Then there are others who start out working on suspension or other parts and do motor work last.

Like Myself for instance. Haha.

I like the Rb25 initiative. What other supporting mods are going to be present with the swap??..Upgrade turbos?...

I say.. Brembo GT BIG BRAKE kit, Tein Flex Type Coilovers and other various susp. components. Some sticky *** tires and you're good to go

i want to keep the engine components as stock as possible for now, leaving mostly room for a reliable fast car, i was thinking injectors, intake manifold, gaskets, alternator, starter, fuel pump, fuel rail, stage 2 clutch, at the time of install, along with intercooler. then work on suspension, RUCA i guess lol, ya i just found the Tein coilovers with the in car stiff? those look nice. besides that stuff i wanted to work on the outside of the car, my shop is helping me put the s15 front bumpers and headlights, and finding a way to put on the r34 rear qp, bumper and tailights. i think it would be a nice car.. so u brake kit would be a good idea i will have to consider that highly, go fast u need to stop fast... i didnt think about that at first. any other good ideas i missed?

R34 rear end will look like ***, s15 front end is so 2004, overdone....just my opinion. Bleh to the Teins as well. This is just starting to sound like another typical fanboy with a pipe dream thread...more research needs to be done by the thread starter because its obvious they know next to nothing about these cars and are wanting to build their car superstreet spec....

wow dude, so i love the s15 front on the s14's the new headlight design looks sick to me, i dont like the rear of the s14 so im going to change it sooner or later so i have three options i like...r34 or r33, i love the skyline tailights. s13 89" style that is even harder to fit on or my old s4 taillights which would be next to impossible i havent seen the r34 tailights on these cars i thought it would be somewhat original, maybe ill try for the silvia tailights...oh wait i think they are ugly. now i already said on the first friggin post i know nothing about these cars, so why in the hell would you say that again. I dont know **** about the suspension on these cars so oh well, all that i consider good to important advice... why the **** would u talk **** and tell me my idea sounds like a fanboy dream, my last car was a 2001 audi s4, wasnt put in for dragging but i would shift into 6th gear at 150mph, i have more cash to throw into a car then you probably make in a year. so what about dream? seriously and im not trying to talk **** but dude i come on here for a bit of knowledge and get attacked by some guy online 1400 miles away for what reason?

If I was attacking you, I would have told you to give up and sell your car. You are a ricer 20 year old, plain and simple. "Let me buy this car, I don't like how it looks though so I'll just throw some other cars front and rear end on it"....waste of money, yet it is your money that is being wasted so do what you please. Also, I did reiterate that you don't know anything about these cars, I did so in hopes that you would take some time to research on your own and read ON YOUR OWN. If you do not know something, do some research, don't come here expecting to be spoon fed like a child. I could also care less how much you make in a year, and you should not be worried about how much I make. Anyways, keep dreaming fan boy, rice your car, race your car, wreck your car, its unavoidable when a jackass fanboy ricer like you gets behind the wheel.

Oh, I also used to own an Audi, so that does not make you cool.

okay well i just spent way more then to much time writing that last post. im a hard headed person who is strongly opinionated, you seem to be also. You have been in this scene longer then i have and im going to respect your opinion and ur advice. i did look in this forum for advice on what to add to the car when doing a swap like this and didnt find enough information to suffice. your right none of anything else matters, if you were to change the rear end of this car what would u suggest?

also, i have never wrecked a car...blown an engine yes...never wrecked a car lol i have worked hard for my money and respect the cars i drive and what they can do....
