Alright so i bought me an s14, but the trans is done plus its auto.
So ima do the swap n all, but i wanna know if a Ka20de engine is worth getting a manual trans for it, and also if it just bolts right on? or am I better off getting another engine, or going for the sr20?

This is my first time owning a rwd car
not to mention a beautiful project at that.

Also this car is gonna be used alot for Touge
Not so much drifting, and i want the suspension tight
so I wont have to much sliding around when takin corners.

Soooo guys i need major guidance and help.
Im open for all ideas, and anything you can throw at me.

 

Search my friend, search. KA24de vs SR20det is all about personal preference. You can build a sick KA or build a sick SR. Search what are the pro's and con's of each and make your own decision. Swapping the transmission is easy. You don't need another engine if yours is fine/if you're going to build it.

 

-there is no such thing as ka20 ( there is a k20 but yea )
