hi guys, i'm just another noob, and i think a total noob I'll tell you why: my first car EVER is a 240 sx SE '89( if we don't count the lexus es 250 '91 auto tranny, totally boring car). I always wanted a RWD,but i never thought i'm gonna fall in love with a car.it's true I worship my 240.i just made one test drive and i bought it.didn't check a thing i was like:i don't care if it dies on me on the 2 week i WILL own this car. anyways i have great plans for my baby, but i'm a total noob if i haven't mention it allready,so i'm here to gain as much knoledge as my skull can fit,and learn from you guys.i've read a lot of your threads and realized that's the place for me. you seem like really cool bunch of people .anyways I just wanted to say hi

P.s btw if anyone has any suggestion what can i do about the rust ? thanks guys. and i'll try to post some pics the first chance i get

rust is kinda a pain in the ***, thats why im glad my baby doesnt have any. welcome to the club, and congrats on your 240. if you want to go extensive, you should remove all the frame rust, then coat with a rust converter, and then paint it with a couple layers of a rust preventative paint. on body rust, you can cover up some of it with new body parts, ie overfenders, but first convert the rust so it doesnt spread. if you want to go ***** to the walls, cut out the rusted sections and weld in new sections. (feel free to correct me anyone.) kinda a pain in the ***, but it makes you have a nicer car.

Rust is easy to deal with. Sand it hard way, POR it easy way, or naval jelly even easier.
