First off there was manual in 94 but it was an option so only a couple hundred were made. 99 was the first year for the s-15 so that couldn't possibly be it's missing year. (technically there was a 99 s-14 but that was only til about 7-99) when production ended however it was sold as a 98.

As to what the difference is in the SE and base. The SE's come with LSD's. Also there were only like 600 98 s-14's made for the american market so if you get the chance ****** it up.

Dude everything you just said is wrong.

1. ALL convertables of any year were only auto and only convertables were sold for '94.
2. I said '99 was the worst or missing year of the 240sx because 240's ended in '98 and we didn't get the S15.
3. S14's were last made in '97 all '98's were left overs from the factory.
4. Only SE S13's with Hicas came with a LSD and only S14's with ABS came with LSD. Buying an SE won't guarantee a LSD.....

speaking of hicas...

If you disable the HICAS will the LSD still work?
