Mannn, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but for a DECENT paint job, for the entire car, you're looking at 3k+ minimum...

For a crappy job, like 800 dollars you can go to Maaco, but they mix their clear coat and base coat all together...and they spray it maybe 1 and a half - 2 times. Not only that, but they typically don't know how to tape off your stuff, so overspray is probably going to get on your exhaust, your windows, your side moldings...everything, lol.

Don't know any other places that do it for a decent price. You might be able to find someone who'll do it for a LOT cheaper, if they do it personally, but a lot of the time you're not going to be able to. I knew a guy who did an AWESOME job out here in Virginia, near Virginia Beach, but he moved to Las Vegas...go figure.

I had a guy quote me 10G's for a complete dissassemble + paintjob. Granted it's a lot of work, but that guy definitely needs to stop smoking crack.

If you have a friend with a access to a paint booth and skills in painting, actull costs are like $300 for supplies. My friend said he would do it for free to but I have to sand everything, tape off and primer it myself.

There is a kid with a green 240sx that he had painted at maaco for $1000. They put down a layer of primer, a few of basecoats then a few clearcoats. Its 2 years later and it still looks good.

do like im doing, hit NAPA with some cash and get a rubber snadling block, 320, 600, 800, and 1200 grit wet sand paper, and sand and primer and bondo the car yourself. Youre going to shave off about half the cost of the paintjob.

Dude paint it yourself!! You can rent a booth pretty cheap and if you can air brush youll be ok, if you just want it to look like new paint not some fade job or graphics. I painted a 94 escort in my garage. I just tokk all the panels and doors and everything off of it, built a booth in my garage{ 2x4s and plastic paint cloth} AND a car cover(incase it rained} the only thing was the roof and the part under the doors, but if its the same colr or if u get a kit you can just paint the kit. That was like 1 1/2 ago and still looks good.

Just a thought. U can Save alot of money.
