GReddy Turbo Kit for KADET24

Has anyone here purchased and equiped the brand new Turbo kit from GReddy for the KADET24 engine? If so any problems with the install? Does the E-manage system that comes with it disable the fuel cutoff point?

Im guessing that you are talking about the GReddy turbo for the KA24DE. If so, I only hear good things from them. I myself do not own one, but have done quit a bit of searching on the set-up and it looks pretty clean. happy hunting, and keep me updated on what you find out if you will.

looks like it's time for the good old "toggle switch on the tranny sensor" trick

The two sensors on your 4th and 5th gear are strictly for fuel economy purposes, not the limiter governor, that is a myth for many 240sx's. TLOOF who is an engineer and does KA swaps said that was a myth. He is on the 720 truck forums and he emailed me the diagram. The limiter governor is installed in the back of your tachometer gauge"so yes a toggle switch would work", you can do one of three things. Snip the wire in the back"add a switch", disconnect your tach, or get an eprom upgrade. I would disconnect the tach anyways for a higher reving tach and shiftlight.
The Greedy Piggy Back doesn't change every feature of the ecu. It is only a Fuel/Air tuner, that self tunes to the level of boosting. You can do the exact same thing with an APEXI SAFC 2, accept it is all manual tuning.
Overall the Greddy for the price is a great deal and the piggy back can be reprogrammed for higher performance specs. I believe the highest boosting you can get from the Greddy is 17PSI or at least that is what import tuner magazine has mentioned.

wat happens if u dont plug in your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear sensors? i heard it gets rid of your stock rev limiter.

As far as I know there is no 1st, 2nd, or 3rd sensor - just redline limiter.
