Hud???

So yea my speedometer is still busted...It's kinda weird since it works once in a while but rarely so im not the biggest fan of getting a whole new hud dispay with the wrong miles off some ebay thing so i've been thinking of a new way. I"ve been talking to my dads friend whose a mechanic and well he's been telling me maybe my speed sensor is lazy or just busted. I was thinking a lose connection in the back on the gauge bezel but damn its very difficult and time consuming getting back there while removing all those fun switches. Does n-e one think it'd work if i replaced the speed sensor? Dealer ship is asking round 100$ for a brand new one but im not too sure if its going to work does n-e one know? Thanks in advance

Find a 240 in a junkyard and get the speed sensor. Don't buy one new.

It is more then likely the speed sensor

The same thing happened to my civic. I don't really care to fix it now that I have sold it 9the guy gave $200 down to save it for him, so I don't care about fixing anything on it no) but at least now I have an idea what is wrong with it, and I can tell the guy that bought it.

i have a HUD on my coupe and my friend said the wiring is just really old so i let the car warm up for like 5 mins and the digital display turns on. could be the wireing is old or your speed sensor is old to, u have too remember that theses cars are like 15 years old.

Allright i know this is old but im still trying to fix her with the hud. We lifted up the car and pulled the speed sensor and it seems not not be it...If you took out the speed sensor wouldn't the speedometer digital hud still be on since the speed sensor only tells how fast ur going? Perhaps its wiring in the back? Its just trying to get back there is such a bitc* Like taking off the hazard lights, headlight switches etc...N-e ways yea perhaps the wiring? Is there any easy way getting the switches on the panel off? Thanks in advance

listen mine is doing the same thing but I think it's the actual HUD, I'm not sure but I've pretty much ruled out the speed sensor (replaced it), and I found a HUD for about 100$ from a local junkyard but I dont want to spend the money and then It not work either
