which LSD

hey guys sorry for such a dumb question I ve call 5 shop round me and they can get parts but no info
I lookin to do an LSD in my car 89 240 what should I be lookin for
I found a US spec tomei LSD for $950 is that good/bad
Also found a US spec Cusco for $1150 I know the names because I also have an 03 EVOVIII and thats finished but its is my new project car and need alot of help

umm what are you going to be using the car for? Drag racing? Drifting? Touge? Road Racing? give us more info...those two are just brand names, not types of LSD's...

Kaaz and Nismo have good LSDs too. Many say the Kaaz one is a lot louder than the Nismo one though. Search around, ity's been covered. Check in the motorsports forum and look for the LSD topic.

Go for the Cusco... it's a little pricey but if you got an Evo, you can afford a Cusco diff... plus the Cusco diff can be set to 1.0 way, 1.5 way, or 2.0 way without any extra parts. I think the others like Kaaz or Nismo or Tomei is only one setting

yeah I vote for Cusco since I still rep them in a way. Their diffs are pretty solid and there are many custom specs that you can have for them. But an RS 1.5 in front/ 1.5 mid/ 2way rear is what I think you should use. But double check...trying to remember what the cusco staff told me

thanks for the info guys I drove my 240 142 miles round trip to the city this car soooooo much fun but......... I found some problem with it
1. needs brakes (bad) fixin it today
2. the rack is wet need to have it rebilt
3. more like a question my clutch pedal for the first 1/4 flops with the wind the rest is fine (just install a new clutch) but had this problem before think I need a new master clinder??
I cant figure it out help please
