i still dont belive the del sol can beat my car, yesterday i beat a cavalier, on the on ramp to the freeway, it tried to catch up, when i filnally got to about 100 mph i let off the gas, i was going up hill, i let it pass me for about 1 mile then i smashed to catch up, got beside him , heard him smash and it was on , i stopped when my car reached the rev limiter, after that i let go of the gas and i let him pass, only after he was smashed though, i dont belive the delsol is faster, it might me but 240 is still faster on the turns, del sol cant drift like the 240

 

Why would you base your opinion on Del-Sols with a Cavalier? And what does the Del-sols inability to drift have anything to do with going fast around turns?

 

1st What does drifting have to do with good handling good question.

2nd You'd lose to a del slow. VTEC trim.

Granted you probablyy dont see many.

 

its always gonna be the driver who wins. not the car itself, if the cars are eaqual or almost eaqual, i know a thing or two about racing and most people dont, i can beat most people in higher output cars most days. del sols hah, its funny to me that u think a sec matters when i can heel toe shift around tha corners at inconcievable speeds.

on the track VTEC would win,

autocross on the other hand 240sx would take no problems

 

Are you sure? Del-sols are pretty good at autocross. I know I'd put my money on one.

 

would you bet on a car or the driver? on auto cross its more the driver than the car cuz if u aint good at driving, then your no better off with a faster car, even worse cuz then... u get spanked by a driver like da h-bomb

 

What are you talking about? Everybody KNOWS the driver is the biggest factor, but I never said anything about any one person in a 240 vs. someone in a del-sol. I said the DEL-SOL would be better at autocross than the 240SX. Both cars being stock. OK?

 

Ohh stock for stock you're right then Del sol would beat the 240sx in the straights and at auto-x. Del sol's are very stable cars, the VTEC trim is the best..... I've heard that those things handle like none other.

 

i went down to an autocross event...my friend with a stock se-r was pulling the same times as a turbo m3....so really in autocross it is driver...
