that sucks.... i've been sitting on my parts for a while.... but being on house arrest gives me a **** load of free time, and saving money by not going out, eating out etc... so i have the ability to get stuff done a little faster... plus selling my house recently doesn't hurt either...
thanks silviaks2nr!! i remember when you used to post on my first build thread... i was such a noob then... ugh...

well, i got the ISIS stainless steel braided high pressure power steering line in... and i feel like a dip ****...
the high pressure line that was on there wasn't even bad, it was a rubber washer that goes on the part the banjo fitting slides on... it went bad, so i used the copper gaskets from the line i though was bad, and put one on the bottom, and top of the new HP line, with the lock washer, and nut .... problem solved...
another useless $100 spent... at least it looks "cool" or whatever... i could have used that money better elsewhere....
no pics cause i did it in the dark with a mini mag light.... that was fun...

well, a small update... the first round of the suspension came in today... having a back round in professional welding, i was actually surprised at the beads on the arms... and the over "appearance" of quality, i would rate at around a 8-9 out of 10...
pics...
all of em together... look at that BEEFY sway bars... good god...

a shot of all the arms, and rods... front tension rods have dust boots on em, a nice touch...

a comparison shot of the sway bars to show exactly how beefy they are... 30.5mm up front, and like 28.5mm rear... the bar on the left is the rear, and the one of the right is the front...

now i'm just waiting on the front and rear lower control arms to come in, then i'll make a day out of swapping suspension... with pics and all that... once installed, time to head to Firestone for a nice clean alignment..
oh, and i dropped my car off at my sponsors shop (Ahrens Z Car Specialist), getting the AC shiz dealt with, i got tired of trying to figure out the wiring issue so i said screw it, Don, fix it... and he's doing the work personally, which is nice, cause he runs the place....
one thing i forgot to add, i've sold my 600CC's and got a set of 550's... so i no longer have to get the car dyno tuned, as there a available tune on the PLMS site for 550's, Z Maf, and T28 ready for download. so i took the money from the 600's, bought the DW 550s, made a $40 profit.... also, i'm on my way back into gainesville to pick up a free KADE throttle body, which i need for the second pulley... instant cruise control!!! so at the end of this day, i'll have working AC, PS, Cruise control, and heat, and a good mid 12 second tune!!!!!!! friggen bad the **** ***....
more pics and updates to come fellas!!!

thanks nick, that would be awesome, but i got a freebee!! and as far as the car being bad ***, it's not quite to that level yet, there's other build that by FAR make mine look bad lol...
got my 550's in, and tuned in... bad *** update to come.... this ****er pulls HARD!!!!

okay so here's a decent update.... i sold the 600CC's and got a set of 550's... and i dropped them in....
in with the new...

out with the old!!

then proceeded to "test and tune" with my buddy Ryan, AKA clawhammer, i did the tuning at the house, and he made pulls down highway 441 till we got it dial in... house arrest sucks, but i think we pretty much got it dialed in.... 14.0ish at idle, and 11.3-4 under full boost, he says the car pulls like a monster, and seeing him shooting down the road i believe it... so i think I'm pretty close to dialing the tune in, just have to get it to a recommended 14.7 @ idle, and 12.0 under boost....
that was yesterday, today, my last few suspension parts came in the mail... my front and rear LCAs... now unlike the arm package i ordered, these have a lower appearing quality... as the arms were 8-9 out of ten, these appear to be 7ish out of ten, the welds look a bit sloppy, still strong, but just sloppy, i live Thia sweat shops... UGH, please keep the "i told you so's to yourself... i will put these through the test (and hang on to my stock ones just in case...)

if you're wondering what that little zip lock bags are, they're my "hyper white" 194 LEDs I'm using for my gauge cluter, to get rid of that ugly pale yellow/white color.. these are the HW and not the blues i had in my last car, these will still be blue, but not as intense, and hopefully match my cobalt gauges, and GReddy EBC, and FATT...

and an interesting pic i took while my son, Clawhammer (Ryan), and myself were hanging out messing with the car....
NSFW ALERT!!!!!
GET SOME!!! OOOOH YEAH!!!!

okay guys, got a small update, nothing big... i got my LED's in today i'd ordered for my gauge cluster, so i put em in and took pics, and I'll be making this post in a write up form, for those of you who think it's a neat idea, and to copy any paste it in several other forums, and might get stickied in their DIY sections...
So, tired of your pale yellow gauge cluster huh? maybe got a bulb out? well in this write up, it'll be a cheap upgrade to add some flash to your interior. This write up is for a S14, but I'm sure the S13 process is pretty much the same, although i think there's 4 LED's instead of the S14 3...
things you'll need-
Philips head screw driver, magnetic tips makes it easier, but not required
194 LEDs, i prefer the 360* range as they provide the most light. I got mine on eBay for $8 for a pack of ten, S14 cluster takes 3, so I'll have extras.
Step one, removal of the cluster bezel, there's two screws (arrowed) that need to come out. Getting the Bezel out is a bit of a pain, but doable.

If you have a SE model, you'll need to disconnect the cruise control harness, and all models remove the dash light dimmer switch on the other side.

Once removed, you'll be left with your bare gauge cluster, and the three screws that need to be removed (circled).

Remove those screws and work the cluster out till you can remove the plugs from the rear, it should come out enough for you to easily reach them all, then, you'll be left with the bare back of the cluster... remove orange/brown light plugs that are circled.

Next step is basically removing those crappy 194 filament bulbs, and installing the LEDs.

Be careful while installing the LEDs as they use their +/-, and if installed incorrectly, will not light up... a simple test to make sure they work is to install them, hook up the dash harness, and plug in the connector for the dimmer switch, and turn your lights on, they should all light up, if one doesn't, just remove it, and turn it 180* and reinstall, it should then work just fine... once all lights are working, go ahead and hook up the rear harness, and reinstall the gauge cluster.

after that, basically reverse the removal process and you're done!!
my final install, with night shots..

full view.

That's it!!! pretty easy huh? and nice upgrade to your gauge cluster!!!
now back to the build... i got the KADE throttle body i needed for the second pulley for cruise control (my SR didn't come equipped with CC i guess), i got it for free, and got a little more than i bargained for lol

the hole damn intake!!
I'll just be fulling off the TB and returning the rest to the guy who gave it to me, and then I'll have to wire in the KA TPS to read for a SR harness...
suspension goes on Tuesday!!!
