I hate the fact that we hate these aluminum and carbon fiber wings now. I used to like em too. They DO serve a function, if your car even goes fast enough to matter. I mean c'mon, the style comes from world class racing. It just sucks that its so rice-ingly played out. Its those ricers that put those wings on their compacts when they havent even done much else to the car to make it go fast, they ruin it for the really fast cars and supercars and stuff. Those wings probably belong only on cars like the Supra, RX-7, Silvia, NSX, those little Lotuses, etc. Not on bone stock civics, focuses, etc. Rule of thumb: as long as it matches the car, i think it works. I think that blue 180SX would look pretty good if those wings wont so played out.
Darn tacky ricers.

Well it is true that does wings do serve a purpose on cars that race, because a lot of manufactures do offer a carbon fiber version of the wing on their GT spec cars that they run in Le Mans or other races. But those are for race cars, so the rear end stays planted.

I agree bone stock cars shouldn't be running around with those things but should stay on cars that really need them. But who would want such a big thing anyway. like my buddy malice says, it looks like a park bench.

wings on drift cars don't really serve a function since the fastest i've seen a drift car enter a turn is at about 75mph....

D1? ok...the signal guys that were in hawaii were entering the corners at about 75-80....but still the wing would do very little since it is just slicing through the air sideways.
