Unhappy Car got slammed...need advice.

Ok here's the deal. Grandma stopped by for a while and hit my left rear quarter panel when she was backing out. She drives a white Pontiac Sunfire, so I have white marks, plus a long *** dent, down the side of it. She offered to pay for the repair but I'm afraid that it's gonna get a bit pricey for her.
So here's my question: What can I do myself to get the cost down at least a little bit for her. As in sanding it down to the primer or....what? I'd like to help her out, don't think too many people would feel good about jammin their grandma out of 500-700 even when she hit my car.

Thanks for the help.

the best thing you could do would be to go down to your local nissan parts yard and find a fastback whith that side intact. im guessing you willl need both front and rear fenders and door, which you could get for ~500 and then do the sanding and prep and priminig yourself
