For the size of the 240sx coupe the paint job can run from 1800 and up, depending on how many coats you want and what quality you are looking for. Btw you need to work on your grammer..

mann to tell you the truth. i got my WHOLE car painted for $300. yes. i said the whole car, stock paint (by the paint number), clear coat.. and all that.

how?
i made a deal with the dude whos gonna paint my car.

1. i did half of the work.
- i sanded down the whole car. which means i got the clear coat off.. and made the paint ready to be spraied on.
- tapped all windows and areas that will not be painted.

2. bought the stock paint ($150)

3. paid the guy to just spray the paint on my car for another $150.

150+150 = 300

i can even show you the receipt. if yall doubt me.

I had a Honda Accord had been painted before! It looks shiny and clean, and still shiny and clean, but it peels like ****! So, I don't really know how much for a real paint job that will lasting longer, at least not peels! THX! Does anyone know any reliable place at reasonal price? $1800 is too much for me! Oh by the way, my experince at the paint job is every car had just been painted looks awsome(even for those **** one), so I don't want to see the paint peel anymore!

well i didnt tell the whole story.

i know the guy who painted my car very good. and pretty much know the whole bodyshop staff... lol. thats why i got a good deal.
but they would charge me like $600. thats the average for a good paintjob here at a local bodyshop.

Maaco charges $250 (cheapest) but you did know that you get what you pay for.

Its always good to have inside people. =)

My first posting in two months. My grandpa has a friend who painted his vett for him for $170. But my gramps did all the real work. Taping off and sanding. The hard part.

Pretty much anyone can spray paint. Even a monkey, or at least a trained one, can do the job as well as anyone else. The real work and price driver is in the body work. If your car doesn't need any real body work, or you make sure thats done right, the painting isn't all that difficult. If you really want to pay someone to give you a solid paint & body job, I'd look on spending around 2K.
