I'm not sure, but I'm willing to bet it's illegal.

RHD cars are fine, I have a RHD delsol, as long as there is an american counter part to the model of car getting cert. cost nothing cause DOT (department of trasportation) has all the crash test info on the model of car.

That all fine for a OEM RHD car. But I believe to convert a LHD car to RHD would constitute tampering with safety equipment wouldn't it?

the car would go under inspection, and with the conversion if it had a clean title it may be redone to salvage, its all the same when getting a junked car and fixing it back up it has to get inspected to get re-titled.

Yeah, but you're not using oem usdm parts on the car. Nissan won't claim the 180sx or Silvia a 240sx conter part so the DOT won't have any crash test info, so how would they allow you to use those jdm parts?

You're using JDM steering rack though, which is a safety device.
