yeah, then get caught and wind up with neither. i was in a pretty similar situation about a year and a half ago. i stuck with the "new" girl, and we've been going out for about a year and a half now. the only reason my current girlfriend started liking me, (or how she put it, "realized" that she liked me) is because i started to get serious with the girl i had gone out with before, and it made her jealous.

eh, females. crazy i tell you. but yeah, moral of the story: go with the girl you more recently liked. odds are, if things don't work out, your old ex will still be hung up on you. safety net.
