so what kinda turbos do you guys have in your 240s ? how much boost are u running ? are you running it on stock internals or aftermarket?

 

Garrett GT2871r running 10psi will i get tuned them im gona run 20psi for 350+whp

stock SR internals i just have cams, 740cc injectors and AEM EMS

 

at one point i was thinking of gettin an sr20 but itd be a while i really just want to try to beef up my KA and then Turbo it and sell the car maybe get a nice lexus or bmw or something luxurious, with a kick to it

im not into luxury cars ive driven them all just not into them i like the ones that rattle the skin off your bones lmao. but yea at one point i considered getting a STi as a daily driver/car for long drives but ended up not getting anything yet cause how money is right now.

if i had to buy a luxury car id have to be a BMW get me a 1997 535i 5-speed ftw

 

lol when i was still with my KA i got to drive a bently and lol yea... twin turbo v-12.... and to top it all off the motor is silent. u mash the gas then look at the speedo (140mph) then go WTF WHEN HOW?!?!? lmao plus that thing had enough a/c power to cool my house..

 

well dude its gonna be a while till i feel boost in my 240 i need to weld some rust spots on it, does anyone one know what type of steel i should use, or anything useful for welding my wheel well, etc?

 

most people use 16 gauge steel

 

also when welding the sheet metal you don't want to do long continues welds. i have friend learn that the hard way when he was restoring his camaro.

 

well i wasnt going to do any of the welding bc, well i cant weld lol, my dad said he would do it bc he use to do it for a living back in europe, so i should use 15 guage steel what type of wire, bc im going to use wire welder, or can i use a stick ? what voltage and all that stuff?

 

MIG. ER70S-2 If you have a backing gas, need to use a flux core wire if not. You want to use a technique called stitch welding. Instead of holding down the trigger you want to blip it. blip blip blip blip blip, use a small, short, weld pattern, It would be to you benefit to use a backing gas, Argon, or a mix. It will make the cleaning of the weld much easier. As for Voltage and wire speed, That really depends on the welding machine. Most small machines arent regulated well, So it will be a learning curve on your part. Typically for a stitch weld you want more relative heat compared to the wire speed, versus a constant weld you want a good combination. I will see if I can find some pics of a stitch weld to go by.
