after its all done, i still need to find a good mounting location for this. anyone have the instructions from greddy as to what wires i need to hook up to? soarer/cressida instructions should work i think right?

cut the old wg runners off last week, cleaned the holes up this weekend.

i need to get the new tubing and find a capable yet affordable welder in raleigh and then i plan to have the wg sit something like this

oh yeah i thought about that, i just wont have a whole lot of space in there if i do. was the emanage blue much smaller?
my other option was to mount both computers on the floor under the carpet on the slanted portion where feet would normally go. I would just make a kick plate out of some thick steel that mounts over them. they could be either side by side or stacked on top of each other. Side by side maybe a close fit width wise, but would probably be less noticeable since the bulge in the carpet would be much shorter in height and wider going more with the floor plan.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too... the emanage blue was like 5x8x3/4" or so... fit fine in the glovebox and I had room for my vehicle documentation. I don't know if the ultimate is bigger, but I would imagine so. Consider the heatsoak too though, if you blow hot air from your heater on the emanage/ecu it might not be that great for it. I don't know.

yeah thats true i didnt really think about the heater. ill probably mount it on the floor.

yeah i have some plans for the shifter. i need to buy the tech 2 motorsports shifter extension which will mount the shifter about 3-4 inches back in the factory nissan location. then ill prob cut this one and take some length out of it and re-weld it shorter which was silviaks2nr's first suggestion when he saw it haha

Do it! I'll do it for you if you get the materials. Which reminds me I should post photos of my shifter and an update on my car... I guess I'll wait until it's tuned but that could be forever. Let me know about the heatwrap!

i was working on the wiring yesterday and realized that all of the local shops will be closing for Thanksgiving, so i decided it would be a good idea to get all of the welding done asap. I went and rented a crap flux core wire feed and pulled an all nighter last night to get everything tacked up. It was due back to teh rental place at 9 this morning so i had no choice. I figure since i cant drive the car to the shop, this is the best way to save money. Needless to say, nothing ever goes as smooth as i would hope. the down pipe, which i originally thought would work perfect with just changing the flange, did not fit right. It was touching the manifold (no room for heat wrap) and i could also feel tension in the exhaust when forcing it to line up. I do not currently have a flex section and knew this would lead to cracks. I decided to cut the down pipe in half, and make it work. I got it pretty much done, but it is not connected underneath(has about a 1 inch gap between the new dp and existing exhaust. I need a lift for this part, so a 3 inch exhaust clamp will be used temporarily after i get it running.

plenty of clearance now

made the top section easily removable, i should have just bought some modular tubing from atp. I didnt get any pics of the finished product but u get the idea

had to extend the bottom

then, it was on to the the wg. i made the down pipe first so i would know where i could run the dump tube. I was at a local shop who had stainless tubing, but it was very overpriced imo. I decided to use mild steel since im a cheapo and its not like im working with a very high dollar manifold in the first place....

i am not a very good welder, especially with a flux core lol. I have seen some people that can make stuff look very good with shielded wire, but i am not one of them. also havent welded in a few years, so dont be too hard on me. Everything was supposed to be gone over by a pro today, but everyone shuts down early for the holiday so now im stuck for a few days which sucks because the harness is almost done and i was going to start the car over this break.

feed and dump tube tacked up

wg mount in place. tube from other three cylinders will merge at the top right before the flange.

and my "pie cut" dumptube ha, cut with a ****ty angle grinder. always wanted to try this, definitely no fun cutting small pieces on the floor with one foot holding it down. I randomly shot these pieces of metal across the garage prob 10 times at least. All pieces are smooth inside though, should work just find and fits right where i want it.

IF ANYONE IN RALEIGH, NC OR THE SURROUNDING AREAS CAN WELD WELL, AND WANTS TO MAKE SOME EXTRA MONEY PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND WE CAN MAKE A DEAL. I WOULD LIKE TO GET IT DONE ASAP AND WAS HOPING SOMEONE COULD DO IT FOR AROUND $100
