Man..... I want my Rolla back so bad now. I dont want to get rid of the 240 but the thought has crossed my mind. I'd get rid of the Cressida first though.
I could have had that car in rediculous form by now.
.... I miss it so bad right now.
P.S. Dont get rid of your first "fun car". Even if you like it a little bit you will regret it big time later.
I'm so emo right now.....

^^ I guess that was kind of off topic but I'll add this.
The 240 is almost ready to have the ka dropped back in, I just need to time it (really I just need to get the cam sprocket back on... being a real PITA) and install the accessories and belts. It should be in and everything hooked up by saturday. If it runs I'll be one happy camper. If not.......I'll be pretty emo and contemplate selling it to buy my corolla back.... lol j/k
not really

So yesterday I finished timing the engine (with the help of MS!3) and slapping on the accesories. Today I wanted to put on the clutch, flywheel, pilot bushing, and new rear main.......... but...... I ran into some issues. Pretty sure you all have heard of this infamous automatic adapter bushing when people do 5 speed swaps..... yeah.... it's pretty damn bad. Pics
This mangled piece of metal is what used to be the auto adapter bushing.
And my weapons of choice.....
Some of these were more useful than others. Basically what i did is use the hammer and chissel to slice into the bushing. From what I had read the bushing should have popped out with my finger after enough chisseling.... yeah no. So Then I tried using the silverish pilot puller tool...... not enough pressure to pull it out and nothing to really have enough leverage to get much force behind it. So then I tried using the black one.... didnt go wide enough.
I went on to the air hammer....... yeah that thing is a beast. It started spinning on the bushing but it still wasnt loose enough to pull out. I then improvised and used the air hammer plus the hammer and chissel to bend the metal inward then used the black puller to pull on the bent part of the bushing and voila. The pilot was relieving to do after that crap. Ish took about 2 hours and about 6 slices on my hand. New rear main seal, flywheel, rps clutch, and tranny should all be on by friday and the engine should be in by saturday.... hopefully.
EDIT:As the car sits now preparing for take off.
P.S. My beloved Corolla will be making a return soon.......

who got bored and heated up the springs in the back? haha
farking awesome shawn. you = rock
btw, the marble shift **** is off the car now, been asked too many times in past 3 days by people "wtf is that thing?" so i put in a Acura Integra GS-R shift **** in the car. why? because it's probably one of the most comfortable OEM shift **** ever. and yes, Honda/Acura/Nissan/Infinity shift **** threads are same. except toyota...those are like the loaner breed.

Dude seriously! If you dont want that shift **** hook me up!! Dude people here ask if my friend is gay because they seriously think the shift **** is a *****. I think it's funny as hell. The main reason I like bubble ***** is because people always have some dumb *** reaction to them.
Also the rear is so low because there are three drive shafts back there and a manual tranny. There used to be a long block back there too lol.
