I have a black top s13 sr20 and it has always ran 7 lbs of boost since the swap. Today i put in a boost controller and turned my boost to 12psi and its hits 10psi and sputters? Im lost

that means something in you fuel system is failing.. and or you are getting way more than 12psi.

Check fuel pump. injectors and FPR.

anytime you up boost and you sputter it generally means you are not getting enough fuel and the ecu stops you from blowing up by going into a fail safe mode.

to clear it.... just turn the car off... disconnect battery for about 3 min.

yeah i have a walboro 255 and 12 psi is not maxed out boost for thoes 370 injectors and its fine after i back out its not like it throws a code but i think i might need to clean my injectors out with some c16 or some concertrated injector cleaner. But tell me more about what unpluging my battery will do for me.

K when you throw a code, your ecu sometimes goes into fail safe mode to protect your motor/investment

some times you must unplug the battery for a bit, this will set the ecu back to default. if the issue is somewhat resolved, the ecu will return back to a normal state until it happens again. if the issue is seen as still being a problem, the ecu will stay in fail safe and the car will not run correctly at all ( basically it will retard timing)

check your fsm for you diagnostic codes.
