300zx brakes with 240 master cylinder

I plan on doing 300zx brakes on the front of my S13. I've heard some guys say that the brakes feel mushy with Z brakes all the way around when they use the 240sx Master Cylinder. Has anyone expierenced the braking with Z front brakes only and 240sx MC? Its 10 piston around vs 12 piston around. Thanks for the input.

10 piston??

Z brakes are 4 piston.

I have Z brakes 30mm.

My braking is fine because I use Stainless lines.

Good luck.

4 piston in the front (x2)=8
single piston in the rear (x2)=2
8+2=10
Z rear brakes use 2-piston. 4+4+2+2=12
Thus, out equation equals 10 pistons vs. 12....

Do you only have Z brakes in the front?

Upgrade if you're doing all four corners. Other than that, many 240 owners with just Z32 fronts use the 240 MC.

no upgrade either way.. jsut a z32 front with no bmc upgrade leads to locked fron brakes and nothing more

Why would it be locking my front brakes?? Would this problem occur even with steel braided lines?

I did my Z32 front and rear w/ebrake on my S14 and use stock 240SX MC. Also replace brake lines. Mine's working great.

That only if you dotn knwo the lockling point of the brakes.

JDMx whatever I know that the front is 4 and the rear is 2, you know why?

Because I HAVE THEM!!!

If your going to have the full up grade them I suggest Z32 MC. If your only going to use the fronts only, SS line with Stock MC.

if ur gonna leave stock rears, upgrade toa new MC. i have a MC that will make the upgrade less "mushy pedal"

it is a 15/16' MC. stock 240s are 7/8 depending on the type of car
