300zx sus swap into 240

I was wondering what cost and work would be needed to do the swap. I bought a 96 240 non-SE, and I want the 300zx capabilities. If there is any better suggestions or good comments, lemmie know. -Thanks

What are you looking to swap?

The rear suspensions of the two cars are basically identical, except that the Z32 uses slightly lighter aluminum uprights.

The front suspensions are not going to swap. The Z32 uses upper control arms while the 240 uses struts. The 240's front suspension is very similar to the Skyline's. The Z32 had to go with upper control arms to allow for the wider DOHC V6.

The 240's suspension design is about as advanced as has ever been produced by Nissan. There's not much to be gained by going to another setup.

Well, besides the fact that my car i not the SE model, I noticed that there is not much available for the 4 lug pattern. basically what I want is the 5 lugs and a rear diff.

On your 96, you will be able to use the front hubs from an S14 SE or Z32 to go to 5 lug in the front.

In the rear you will need the rear hubs from an n/a Z32 or an S14 SE. You'll probably have more luck finding the Z32 parts as they were more common than S14 SE's.

Dude, so I can get rotors, calipers, and what else, straight from the Z32? look, explain it to me as though I were a 4 year-old. I jump in my moms car, drive to the junk yard. Find a Z32 and step by step, what do I do? oh yeah, I almost forgot. I wanna change my rear diff. I want something with an LSD, do I get one from a 240, or can I get this from a Z32 as well? you're like the only dude in this forum that actually helps. I trully appreciate that. Awww man, now I'm gonna cry

Not you, DCT! The spindle is thicker on the S14 than the S13. For you the swap would be more involved because you will also need the front spindles from an S14. The spindles can be from any S14, whether or not it has the 5 lug hubs.

The hubs, of course, should be from a 5 lug car if that's what you're loking to do with your swap. Someone posted a good link about this a week or two ago, I'm going to see if I can find it.
