4 on 114.3 rims- Hard to find? Is it cheaper to do a 5-lug conversion from a S14 SE?

I am looking around to see what my rim options are if I buy a 4-lug S14. I am not finding much. I own several sets of 114.3 on 5, but the S14 that i am looking at is a 4-lug.

Are there good 16-16" styles in a 4 on 114.3 bolt pattern, or does it make more sense to do a 5-lug conversion from an SE or LE S14? Not wanting to do the z32 5-lug swap...too much to change.

Isn't the S14 4 to 5 lug conversion fairly inexpensive and simple?

Its still pretty expensive, could run you 600-900. There are a lot of 4 lug rims out there, they are all over the place. But since you own a couple sets of 5 lug wheels, id do the 5 lug conversion.

I'd sell the 5 lug rims, or try and trade them for 4 lug. Many people would want the 5 lug one's, and you'd get some money for them, the swap is expensive

however, if you really really like the rims, pay the extra $$ and do the swap.

I do really like my rims, and they are not made for the 240sx 4-lug. Actually, the only car that thye are made for anymore is a BMW. They are Mille Miglia MM-11 rims in 16x7.5 w/ 35mm offset.

Mechanically, I am inclined enough to do the ocnversion, particularly if I can find a 95-96 donor. If I have to go w/ z32 or 97-98 hubs it will be a pain. Still dooable, but a pain.

I did my full spring/strut install on my Maxima in my parking lot w/ no impact wrench, so mechanically I am not intimidated.

I have seen quotes of about $200-300 for the set of 95-96 S14 5-lug hubs, used. I have seen as low as $150 for all 4. If worse comes to worst, I can always do the z32 conversion, but that will have to wait for nicer weather.

On a side note, this forum has been particularly pleasant about me asking seemingly mudane questions. I hope that it is because I try to be thorough in my research before I ask, and I try to be clear in what it is that I am asking.

I have a LOT of trouble when I search, because most people do not put a year or build code on their posts, and even less often in their title. It would be SOOOO much easire in the tech forum if it were either subdivided into S13 and S14 subforums, OR if people would begin their topic title with their build code. For example, my title for this post could have been "S14: 4 on 114.3 rims- Hard to find? Is it cheaper to do a 5-lug conversion from a S14 SE?"

In my case, because the model in question was listed in the title it might not be necessary, but peole who just titled their threads "5-lug conversion" were often vague about what they were trying to convert TO a 5-lug hub. Smae for many z32 brake upgrade threads. If they were to say "Questions about 5-lug conversion on S13" or "S13- 5-lug conversion questions" it woudl be a LOT easier to find info when searching AND to get the help that you really want.

LOL- end soapbox...
