It's easier and less of a hassle just to buy the gto front conversion, and the rear hubs for a z32 (which is more common then the s14). You can successfully swap to 5lug in under $400 (I priced it with junkyard hubs today)

If you have attain/gto for the the front nothing needs to be modified.

The rear is fine.

Now DO IT and get some wheels with kick *** offsets!!!

Reading this thread, tougefriends' article, and the nissanperformancemag, I came to this conclusion:

FRONT:
GTO Hubs (damn, acclaim is $460 from PDMracing)
S14 240SX SE front rotors

REAR:
S15 hubs (tougefriends article) or S14?!
S14 240SX SE rear rotors

Which is it? S14 rear hubs fit fine with no modifications or is it S15 rear hubs?

I find it easier to source S14 rear hubs than Z32 btw.

where did you find the $350 for GTO fronts?

And oh, is it the Mitsubishi GTO? Or something else?

yeap, noob here.

Thanks!

Any of those work. They're all compatible. And the GTO conversion is made by a company called GTO. They're not off the car. BTW, IMO, the GTO or Attain conversion is the best way to go since you'll get lighter hubs and something new. That's something you won't get with used hubs of other cars.

But you're not the only one who chime in on how to do the conversion. Usually, a sticky topic is well outlined and well summarized and or concluded. Instead, this thread became sticky with mixed or different ways of achieving the conversion. If someone can summarize the very first post, it would be much easier for n00bs like myself. Anyway, thanks for your previous replies, it helped us much.

ArcticDragon, thanks for your reply. I'll search for a cheaper GTO, if it is cheaper indeed.

edit: found a brand new 4-to-5 hub on eBay, $375.00 local pick-up or $20 shipping fee.

Aye, all 5 lug does is let you get better offsets which is essencial for getting a good set of rims. And don't get the 4-5 lug spacer deal. Too big and unnccesary. BTW, I said the GTO/Attain hubs were better, not cheaper.

Arctic, I thought GTO is cheaper than Attain thats why I used the word "cheaper" as opposed to better.

So, if I can get a set of 4x114.3 with 8, maybe I should stick with 4-lugs. Hopefully, the black with Polished lip FN01R-C will be available on an S13 later this year.

this is whay I dont want to show up on the 240 meets, stuck with the pussies sizes...

geez, I told you Im not a hardcore 240SX owner

If I stick with my 4x114.3, Im stuck with the pussies

If I did the 4-to-5 lug, Im a bandwagoneer

a really tough choice eh?!

Anyway, I'll keep my options open for the 4-to-5 conversion.

Who said doing the 5-lug swap was joining the bandwagon. If you're doing it for the right reason, then that'sthe same as any other mod.
