alright, so i did a search ...

i changed my rear calipers yesterday. took forever to get the lines bled. anyway, my brake pedal still feels "loose". like i need to pump it a few times.

i guess there could be air in the rear lines still, but we bled it quite a few more times with all liquid coming out.

should i have to bleed to front brakes as well? i didnt touch the fronts, but i have a feeling i might have to.

Its best to bleed all the calipers when doing something like that.

If you ever disconnect a brake line, front or rear, it's always good to bleed all 4 brakes because chances are air got into your system. FYI if I'm not mistaken, the order of bleeding is RR, LR, RF, LF... and don't forget to keep pouring brake fluid into the reservoir while you're doing it - I let mine go too low once while bleeding brakes, and I was stuck there for another hour getting all the damn air out

EDIT: The above pattern is for S14 only (with or without ABS)

For S13 it is what I originally had: LR, RR, LF, RF

For S13 with ABS it is LR, RR, LF, RF, ABS Actuator

Ah I was thinking my friend's S13 at the typing moment - made the edits, note that for S13's without ABS the order is different (because of the brake line layout)

my friend did this on her s13, she changed her rear calipers, and put in new DOT3 brake fluid because her Brake pedal felt a bit loose and spongy...

and after she did all that it was still spongy, so then she thought it was the BMC so she installed a new one of that and still didn't work...

after that she adjusted the Brake Pedal Height, because it was 185mm when it's supposed to be 196 or 197mm...

and TA DA! still didn't work! and it turns out it was her Brake Booster the whole time, it had a vacuum leak which brough air and more air into the lines...


soooo what i'm getting at is, after you bleed all sides correctly, and if the brake pedal still feels odd it could be your brake booster! haha
