daily CONV suspension woes / RETIRED NOOB

My (recently acquired) '94 240 CONVERTIBLE's ride seems sloppy, especially the right/rear is noisy and loose-sounding when going over bumps, and especially when low on fuel. I'm sure that's the lack of added weight NOT compressing the stock struts/springs. Also being a ragtop, which was an afterthought/aftermarket thing on these, it's inherently looser overall. The car has only 50,000 mi. on it (and no accidents), but I guess the struts could be crapped out just from age and from being stock (weak to begin with). ALL I want to accomplish is to stiffen up the ride so it feels like it's all in one piece and not about to FLEX itself into flying apart. And hitting minor potholes should not be, at all, an event. On my modified Honda (sold last fall) I put Billstien Sport struts and HR Sport springs and was very happy - no torsion bars. I'd rather spend less on this car's susp, as it's merely a driver and not for flash. Any convertible owners with strut / spring recommendations, for a daily driver?

you could have found the answers to your questions by searching but wtf i already read your thread so ill answer your question...you could probably get some unadjustable tokico blues but if your gonna buy struts anyways might as well get some adjustable more performance oriented ones such as KYB AGXs...with some new springs (you can always stick to your stock springs if you want to)...but if your going to buy struts AND springs save a few more bills and you could get coilovers...but its up to you to figure out what you really want and thats when the SEARCH button comes in handy

I truly appreciate the search button AND your input. The info I seek is SPECIFIC-MODEL & -YEAR-RELATED and I have searched plenty for "convertible suspension" postings, and the like. I am not new to automobile-fanatic forums. I am attempting to find other ragtop owners, in order to compare notes. Thank you f/ the recommendations and support.

You could search suspension compaines and see what they offer for your car.

I know that not many make suspension for convertables.

Yeah, but I'm trying to minimize/avoid the hit-and-miss of trying new components without having rec'vd any recommendations. The way I see it, these forums are intended for us all to learn by sharing our COLLECTIVE experience and knowledge. I can't afford (on a fixed income) to merely TRY ON a set of new struts and/or springs, hoping they'll be the cure. Maybe there's not anyone available here to address my current issues right now. And, of course, that's okay. It's all a crapshoot anyway, isn't it? We're all just trying to tip the odds a bit in our favor, from where I stand. Enjoy your SuperBowl Sunday, y'all!

Wtf okay there no one said anything about buying several different shocks.

Now why didn't I think of that ... You'd make some kind of wife, I'll bet. Just kidding. Thank you, homey.
