ebay coilover?
Any reviews on the ebay coilovers, not full coilovers but something i can use with my KYBs , I have brand new eibachs, but due to the swap conversion, and no ac there is alot less weight on the front, the front wheel gap is now 4.2inches and Eibach Sport lines 2.2" drop isn't gonna do anything.. I hate being ghetto but i don't have cash left for 800 dolor teins or cusco, I need opinions feed backl, i don't want cut springs... just want to know if ebay coils are safe and have a nice tight spring rate. This is a unexpected change of a mod i planed for..

This guy sells them for $550 a pair. The parts he uses are genuine. I don't know if you can trust those ebay parts though....

Here's the thing with the Ebay coilovers. If you don't have acces to a machine shop that can provide you with some type of holding bracket, the Ebay coilovers are no good. If you look at the pictures you'll see that on the botom part of the coilovers they have this HUGE black plate with two big bolts holding the thing into the shock. The Ebay coilovers have this 3 litle tyny, wyny, bity allen screws that screw onto the shock. They not only run far short of providing enough holding capacity, but they scratch the S**t out of the shock, and they don't prevent it from rotating. How is it posible for 3 allen screws to hold up to 400 pounds of weight. And the area where they screw (the thread) is made of aluminum. It strips if you overthighthen it. So there's no way of aplying the preasure needed.
In other words, If you can find lowerign springs, better coilovers, diferent shocks or somethign else, then don't buy them, if you think you can make that part out in a machine shop then go for it. I had these Ebay coiovers on and they provide a stifer feel and you can adjust them. I eventually put the old springs back with new shocks. If I would have read this thread about a month ago I would have sent the coil overs to you. Too bad, now I recycled them. Good 10$ of aluminum and 8 bucks on steel, enough for meal and icecream.
