You can try "cast". It starts out gunmetal kinda, but it turns an off-gray http://www.home.earthlink.net/~euphol2ia/front.jpg those wheels on my car were stripped with paint remover, then 2 coats of gray primer and about 4 coats of "cast" spray. I didn't clearcoat them, but they pass for decent

thats pretty nice but i kinda like the metallic shine to the ones on the white one
