Post rear brakes

I just got my first 240sx, its a 95 model. I have all the stuff to do the 300zx break change over, Its already done in the front. In the meantime I have to change the rear breaks. I have the old breaks off and was pressing the calipers back in when they just stopped. I broke one C-clamp trying to press them in, is there a trick to getting them pressed in all the way so I can put the new pads on?

rear calipers are funny like that. Its kind of like cracking a safe. You're going to need to sort of "twist" the piston and squeeze the c-clamp at the same time. Also, make sure you loosened the two 17mm(?) bolts with rubber boots (the part that squeezes the caliper when you brake). I know that part just comes off, but, unless you actually loosen the bolts, the caliper won't retract.

you aren't the only one to break a c-clamp trying to figure them out.

Wait.. did u put the Z32s on or is it still the stock ones? Basically there's a tool thats sold for the stock ones. It's not really in terms of pushing it back .. it's really twisitng. If you push on them, then u might damage the calipers. You can use pliers to spin it back.
