Unhappy rear end problem

i am having a lot of problems with my 240. it is an 89, 5 speed. I think i might have an axle problem , but i could be completely wrong. two things happen, which might not even be related. First when i am in first or second gear and make a sharp turn it seems that one of my back tires skips. like it locks up on me. also when i am in a low gear and try to accelerate fast it again feels like one of my tires locks up and holds my car back. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I occassionally have rearend problems as well. Usually a little dose of Kaopectate fixes me right up though.

Hmm is your car completely stock? Do you have any type of lsd installed? Try lifting the car and spinning the rear wheels see if anything is hitting it. This is very odd I have never ran into anyone with your problem. Last but not least check all bolts holding up the rear subframe check all Bushings they could be really bad also and cause the rear subframe to slide on you a bit. Does your car have HiCas?

If you dont have an lsd a bearing might be locking up. Most likely you have a lsd and the clutchs are locking up. Did you have the fluid changed recently because wrong fluid can cause it to lock up.
