rotor upgrade necessary???

i am staying with stock brake set up, but im changing the pads and its time for new rotors. im just wondering if changing the rotor to a more performance rotor woud do me any good if im not changing the actual brake assembly to a bigger pad. sorry if that made no sense lol.

wondering about this myself as well. in theory, its just a big hunk of iron to absorb heat but things like quality control and origin of manufacture comes into play.

supposedly the cross drilled and/ or slotted brakes dissapate heat better and channel the gasses from the brake pads away from between the pad and rotor better (applies more to organic pads), and also rotors with curved vanes as opposed to rotors with "pillars" cools better, on the other hand blank rotors are known to be stronger than cross drilled and/ or slotted rotors. its all trial and error, see what works for you.

Don't get slotted or anything. You will probably never see the temps that would call for them. I would just get some blank rotors, good pads, SS lines, and some new fluid.
