springs

i was wondering if you guys thought it would be a bad idea to just purchase lowering springs, and not shocks aswell. the shocks in my car are very good, but i want to lower because my wheel welss look huge with my 17's and 40mm tire.

dude over period of time your not gonna like the bouncyness of stock shocks with lowering springs. The lowering springs have a different spring rate than stock... they are fairly stiffer(depending on the brand and series you get) than stock and the stock shocks wont keep up with the handling aspect of it. youl get way better handling and quicker response with some KYB shocks or Tokicos, or a complete spring and strut assembly. If you have the money TEIN is great if not than Eibach is more moderate.

just like he said
if you do that the shocks will be out of their range, and they'll die quickly, leaving your suspension up to your springs, lol. NOT a good idea.

If you're gonna do it do it well, AGX's or Tein's, definately.
