tein coilover problem.

i installed a set of used tein coilovers on my car today and im having a problem with one of the rear ones. it is hard to describe though.

it is like the spring moves freely from the shock. i looked at the other side and it seems that there is sopposed to be a snap ring like disc on the bottom of a plate that holds the upper mount together. one side has it and the other does not.

im not so sure if this makes any sense or not. help me out if you can.

worst case senario is it possible to have a shock rebuilt from tein, or serviced by tein?

depends on which type of Tein's you have, but yeah they do rebuild 'em.

yeah, I don't know what the problem with your shocks is from your description. If I were you I'd just try to figure out what it is exactly and then contact Tein.

there is a local tein dealer that i might take them to. maybe they will know whats up and they could help me find out what it would take to get it looked at by tein.

its hard to describe the problem. im going to take them back off tomorrow to see if i can figure it out. hopefuly its no big deal.

i have figured out what thje problem is with it. at the top the series of washers and spacers is not correct. one of the pieces is on the top indstead of the bottom leaving about a 1/4 inch gap.
