Tein coilover question

I just bought a 95 240 and the guy I bought it from had done some work to it. The car has Tein Coilovers on it, but I'm not sure what model they are. Does anyone know how I can tell? Thanks.

jack your car up. Put it on jackstands. Take your wheels off. look at your coils and the damper should have a label on it.

alright cool, thanks a lot. i havent looked at the suspension in much detail yet, but if they are adjustable, can i use a regular wrench or do i need to get the tool from tein?

coilovers are adjustable. only the spring and shock combo aren't. how do you know if you have coilovers? did he tell u he put coilovers? or did u even bother to ask him? teins do have a tool to adjust them, but it's not necessary. I'd reccomend gettin the tool though if you do have coils.

you don't even have to jack the car up - just look at the rear coilovers by ducking your head behind the rear tire.

And the Tein wrench is helpful when adjusting... if you know what you're doing.

He told me he installed tein coilovers on it, but from the looks of them they may just be a shock and spring combo. is the only way to tell if they are actual coilovers is if they are adjustable?

well, other than the TEIN label, look for something similar to this:

note the threaded body, green (or gold) color, locking collars, and smaller diameter spring. For reference the picture is of my Tein Flex (front).

By looking at your picture makes me think that I just have tein shocks and some other brand springs. I dont think that I have the threads that are on your shock, damn. Thanks for your help, I am at school and the car is at my house so I cant look at it for reference. If I remember right, the back of my car has kyb agx shocks. Is it bad to have two different kid of shocks on the car(front tein and back kyb)?
