Wheel advice, offset, staggerd or no?

I've been doing all sorts of reading about offsets, staggering wheels etc... my plan is to run
1) 17x7 +25 fronts w/ 17x8+25/30 rears OR
2) 17x8 all around, +30 front, +25/30 rear

I have read differing opinions on the "staggerd will make you understeer" but i from what i gather, it doesnt make much of a difference. For the offsets, im looking for flush, w/ fender roll if needed, no pull.

car is an s13 hatch, about 200-230hp... just judging w. the *** dyno, and cars raced.

opinions appreciated, pics would be great

17x7 +25 is weak as ****, thats almost a inch sunk in, 17x8 +25 should be pretty ok with squared tires and good (functional) amount of negative camber + fender roll, maybe a little sunk, what wheels are u looking at anyways?

yea, 17x7 +25 is really weak, not sure what i was thinking there... i think a 17x7 +15 up front would be more like it. But a 17x7 is pretty ****ing skinny anyways.

I think 17x8 +25 all around would be a nice fit... i could always through in a spacer if i need.. Could i tuck the 17x8 +25 in the front with stretched tires+roll and no camber? (no coilovers or plates, yet)

Wheels, i like the looks and price of the 5zigens, but the offsets for 4 lug suck *ss... only 17x8 +35. Any suggestions on a 17x8 4 lug? I might just go with the zigens +35, and throw in a 5/10mm spacer

isnt ~24.5mm = 1 inch?

17x7 need to have negative offset to be flush.

17x8 +0 will be flush with minor fender roll.

17x8 +0 requires more than a roll, with no camber... i saw a pic of that in the link above... ill try and find it

17x8 +0 is good, but if you don't want to pull..you'd have to camber and use 215/40 tires.

17x8 +0 is okay for S13.

That was the weakest i had next to stock.

17x9+15 would result in ~3 degs camber.

i say you figure out how much -camber you want and i'll tell you the size. rather than buy wheels and then adjust camber to accomodate that.

for street 1-2 is fine if you want 2degs you can go like 17x9 +20-22. with 1deg you can go higher like 17x9 +25-30. for autox with -4 you go with something like 17x9+10. beware some coilovers even have trouble clearing 17x9+20 so go measure up.

i'm guessing you don't have 5 lug, hence the wimpy wheel sizes x7 x8... you do realize that going from 25 to 30 offset in the rear will actually sink it 5mm. what's the point? get as low as possible 17x8+20 would be a decent fit not hot but not ugly. every mm added to that well sinks it in that much more. figure it out yourself

17x8+35 would be about 1/2 inch more sunken than 17x8+20 etc. dig through pictures to find your fit. if you must do x7 x8 then get as close to 0 offset as possible

dont be afraid to roll or pull
17x9 +15 fits well with 225/45 imo

yes, i know how offset works... im still looking at options, not going to buy anything for a while yet. Yes, i realize 15mm is ~1/2inch. my friend actually runs 17x8+35s in the rear and they suck, from what i can tell, another inch (25.4mm) would make it around flush, hence the 17x8+25 i was asking about... +25 will still be sh*tty sunk though. i know how all the sizes and stuff work, and more trying to figure out how the sizes fit

I ruled out the x7 and decided atleast x8 all around and atleast a 17x8 +25 offset... not because 4lug or wimpy sizes, i dont think i need anything much wider (tire) that that,. Maybe a 9 in the rear for future ****, but its not needed for the power i have now.

Again though, i cant adjust camber with a stock suspension. I need coils and rucas first. thanks for your advice on the sizes though, i'd probably run 1 or 2 degrees camber, whatever gives best street wise

silviaks2nr- thanks for the pic, can you get that other one working?
