automatic turbo help?

hey.. i'm a newbie here with an automatic 97 240sx.. it has 65k miles on it.. i was just wondering if i were to go turbo (around 6 psi) .. would an aftermarket torque convertor help? i was planning on getting a manual swap in about 2 years but i dont really want to wait that long to turbo.. so.. wut should i do? will the turbo screw up my transmission? thanks

No, It shouldn't but I've never put a turbo on a automatic. I'd think that it would hold it OK, Just be careful and dont do anything you transmisson dosent like.

Thumbs up

I have a 97 auto w a Greddy Turbo kit with IC. It runs great. All you have to do to race is disconect the transmission ECU (racing only) and you will see a big difference. I have no problems racing ricers or mustangs gt. Do it. Any questions let me know I will send you pics.

Yeah I have a 97 auto too, and I'm also looking at the greddy kit for this coming spring.
Hey sifu where are you located? I'm in OKC
Hey papo240, what do you mean disconnect the auto ecu? you mean the plug on the fender well under the hood? Do you have any ill effects if you don't disconnect the ecu? And what kind of difference are you talkin about?
