HELP: Apexi EM Q's and a BOV concern

hey guys, i just bought an S14. its got a blacktop SR20 w/ T28. for EM, it has an Apexi SAFC-II and AVC-R. under 70% throttle it feels fine, but it feels like the car starts hopping when i go WOT. i also think i hear some popping in the exhaust. im assuming its running way rich.
any advice??
im going to get my AFRs and 3 dyno pulls (if not an hour or so of tuning)tomorrow afternoon. i'd really like to get this figured out. any imput is appretiated

also, this is my first turboed car, and it sounds like i have compressor surge. i hear a spinning hiss before the BOV opens. is that a normal sound or should i try and adjust the BOV?

Thanks,
Greg

Adjust it....you want it as loose as possible, without the car stalling when you are at idle....

I used to have mine like that, because I didn't know any better....I loosened it, and now, I get the nice pfffffffffffffff sound, not the "rattlesnake" sound, which is surge
