Hey all...quick question

No one knows where to get parts for a CA18DET motor? I am, pretty sure I have a blown head gasket, and I would like to find JDM parts to replace it, instead of having to buy parts for a Naturally Aspirated, Nissan Pulsar motor. Does anyone know any websites to find parts for this Silvia motor? Or any places near Tampa Florida?

the head gaskets are the same. it's not like nissan used a special headgasket only found in the JDM CA18. so ordering the pulsar NX will be the exact same as getting an early model silvia/180. all you'll end up doing is spending more money getting a hold of an old head gasket from japan, or more likely, australia.

when it comes down to headgasket materials, OEMs will almost always go for a traditional material head gasket, and very rarely use metal gaskets (you're probably thinking the JDM gasket is heavier since it's a turbo) a properly mounted head gasket will perform just as well as an OEM gasket, so i would save the money and just use the pulsar

Im not speaking specifically about a head gasket

Im talking about if I want something other than a head gasket. I need to know where to find a clutch, AC equipment, Power steering pump. I cant order a clutch for a pulsar because it has a front wheel drive tranny, so what do i Do?

Is it possible that whoever sells CA18 with front clip can help you get a hold of the parts you want?
Just a thought....

check out the S12 200SX and the N13 Pulsar NX. those two engines should have the parts you need.

Part Numbers
Water Pump: N13 Pulsar - BA010-V5589
Timing Belt: '88 Pulsar NX - 1302851E85
Head Gasket: '88 Pulsar NX - 11044-01Y00

Clutchs should be the same between a FWD and a RWD CA motor. as long as bolt patterns match up on the flywheel, you should be fine. remember, nissan was all about parts interchangability for a long time. If you have any doubts, call up the importer you got your engine from and ask them the best car to get replacement parts for.
