how much of the s13 and s14 engine parts interchangeable

Talking how much of the s13 and s14 engine parts interchangeable

im looking for upgrades for my 180 sr20det and im finding parts specified for s14s like turbo stuff and pulleys. i hear theres slight difference with manifold where it might not fit properly. i have no clue i need help.

the main differences between the S13 and S14 SR's are the intake manifold design, turbo, and the VVT (S14 has it, S13 doesn't). While the big differences stops there, I wouldn't assume the rest of the parts are interchangable, because you never know if tollerances or bolt patterns are different between the generations. Just play it safe and buy parts for the S13.

I want to know where you were looking to run into parts that were primarily for the S14. Most online shops carry more parts for the S13 than the 14's due to their increased popularity.

try enjuku.com, heavythrottle.com, and lsauto.com for some good SR products. Also, just do some searching and you'll find plenty of sites that specialize in SR parts.

I wouldn't take a chance. If you have an S13 get S13 parts. If you have an S14 get S14 parts.
