Wtf is IAP?

Anyone ever look at the PhatKA-T manifold or HAS one? How do they hold up? Whats the clearance like with the dump tube and downpipe? I am in the process of...shopping for a manifold myself...bahahah.

SSA 1st gen (top mount) cracks

but the 2nd gen (bottom mount) doesnt crack.

If your looking for 200-250hp with only 7-8psi then i would go with ssa. Also their only $150 shipped >_<

IAP is Import Auto Performance

Gotcha. Honestly, I'd rather have a really good manifold and a really good turbo, and the rest of the stuff "decent". I don't see any reason to cheap out on a manifold. Pay now, or pay later, you know?

While the IAP manifold looks nice--is there any idea what material it is made out of?

From IAP website:

"Many people spend hours trying to increase the 'scavenging' effect of their exhaust system. Don't sell your 240sx short with a "log style" cast manifold. Start at the weakest link and buy only the best turbo manifold for your car! We believe in our products and a 1 year warranty on our manifold against ANY cracking or failure backs up our claim"

Warranty good... Looks like SS to me. Sure isn't cast.

Well, I understand this--it's obviously a "nice" manifold in the way that it uses equal length runners. Although for me to justify spending near 800 dollars, I'd have to know the kind of material it is made out of, and how it was constructed.

Cast iron manifolds are pretty durable, and usually the choice when making log style manifolds, because they're easy to mass-produce. As far as tubular manifolds, people MOSTLY use stainless steel, but due to heat problems, poor construction of a stainless steel manifold can lead to cracking.

I know that there ARE CAST Stainless Steel manifolds, but I'm not quite sure if there are any for the KA24DE. I haven't really gotten to looking around, but THIS is what I'm looking for in a manifold. This is why I was inquiring. I'll probably have to e-mail them. I know they have a warranty, but I want a manifold guaranteed to last longer than a year. Thanks though, I appreciate it.

When you find one, especially if it is a good price, let us know. I for one am looking for a good manifold also and would love to see any kits that are of good proven quality at a price less than I could buy two s13's for.

Well tanshin I believe you asked over in Zilvia where I get my parts list from to build a package for under $3500. Found a used T28 from an (rb20det) for $150. You can send your stock injectors into rc injection and have them matched to the size you want them, not shure what the price was but it was pretty cheap last I asked. You also asked about engine management the mega BIKI retuner daughter board is only $300, it makes your stock OEM ecu into a standalone pretty much.......
