alright i searched under ka24et and what i am looking for didnt come up, so here it goes. what i wanna do is a real budget boost, i.e. mitsu (gs-t) stock turbo and intercooler, and i can custom make the piping. all im looking for is 4-5 psi, the car already has a 255 fuel pump but i dont want to do bigger injectors and if i can fab the piping to run through the mafs then would i NEED to retune the ecu? or would see more air comming through and work itself? also how would i control boost (turbo timer i know) but would i need it and what else, bov, wasgate, ect? i need to know everything i need but keep in mind budget aka ghetto boost, i dont need a race car just somthing to give more power to break traction to drift. please help and not ridicule im 17 and do all the work myself. ive just never attempted a turb setup on a car. its a 90 and im getting a newer motor 70-80,000 miles.
A stock Gs-t turbo usually runs at about 10-12psi from the stock actuator. I have a 95 Gst and you can't turn it down past the stock setting. What year is the turbo coming off of? and it it's a 90-94 is it a 5spd or auto eclipse?
im not sure yet i want to plan everthing out first. if not the eclipse/talon then what? most all the turbo setups ive seen is with the 14b? but like i said im just trying to plan everything out so any suggestions? thanks
The 14b is a gret turbo and i'm getting ready to put it on my eclipse and take off my lame *** t-25. Talk to some other people using these setups and figure out how they kept boost down to 5psi, because i sure as hell can't go under 12psi on my t-25. the 14b pulls harder and will actually carry you to redline.
