Post Need some info am about to perchase my first nissan 240

OK guys and girls I want to start off by saying that am happy to be a member on this site. I have a couple of questions that I hope some of you can help me with. I am about to pruchase a 1989 nissan 240sx is that a good bodystyle to get? what type of motor comes in these cars? I want the car because am getting out of dragracing and want to get into circuit racing and slight drifting. I want to turbo charge the car as well but i dont know how the internals will hold up i know with me honda i could not beat on it for to long and now it got stolen. Am not looking for crazy power like before I just want a setup that i can have and it be reliable with a little extra punch. Am more looking into my suspenstion handling and throttle response over power. I know noting about 240's so if you guys or girls can give me links or tell me a few things it will help me alot.

Thanks,Ameil

Well, no one can really answer these questions for you.

Damn, no disrespect to you, but EVERYTHING about these cars can be found on this site simply by searching. Most of it is even covered in the stickies.

For real, everyone...from now on do me a favor and stop asking people what THEY think is good, and go with what YOU think is good, and do whats best for YOU--because in the end you're going to have to deal with it, so don't base it on other people's opinions.

Anyway, as far as the general difference between the S13/S14 chasis is the weight distribution and the looks. Everything else is generally the same. The engine is KA24E/DE, depending. The "E" is for single cam, and the "DE" is for Dual Cam. The rest of what you want depends on what YOU like and the kind of money you have.

You say you want to get into circuit racing, and occasional drift...a good suspension and LSD would be good for starters, instead of doing engine work. Once you get used to the way your car handles, maybe you should then consider modifying the internals.

Don't mean to be so harsh, but I see this all day; everyday. Good luck.

k20 is a honda engine, the engine in the 240's is either the KA24E or the KA24DE did you not read that? search around, hell google this stuff and all the info will come up. I'm not trying to be a dick but what engine the cars have and all the questions you asked can be found with some simple searching
