New owner turbo question

I just got my 90 s13 about 2 and a half weeks ago and i love the car but dang tha thing needs some power... i really dont think an intake is going to help me as much as it does everyone else so im gunna go straight for the turbo... Is there a set up could research that is like one of the best or do i have to go by ear and preferance??

i feel like that is gonna be pretty crappy for only 900$ for turbo kit and intercooler and such....that is pretty cheap.
