s13 Oil pan removal....how hard?

I've never done it but today while changing my oil, i was checking things out. It seems like it MIGHT be able to slide out from there without taking the front cross member out. Or do you have to?

I know some of you must've done it for your turbo installs so I'm curious if you had to take anything off to remove the oil pan.

Thanks.

Also on a side note, I was trying to figure out the IC routing. How do you guys do it? cut open some areas? Otherwise there's really no way I see to get any piping to the front.

Since I"m using a SMIC, I plan on just cutting a hole where the stock intake sits and putting both pipes through there to the IC.

what engine are you running? as far as i know, dropping the pan shouldn't require you taking your corssmember off. the larger aluminym might, unless you're good at working pans out of tight places.

i've taken my sr oil pan off twice and you don't have to move anything...just unbolt it and pry carefully around the edges untill you get it off.

oh yeah, and as far as the ic pipes, you have to cut holes in the engine bay on both sides. the side with the battery tray is the worst, and you may have to loose your windshield washer res. because the pipe may get in the way. you also have to remove your bumper support.
