Question sr 20 det (or rb 25) engine swap

Hi

I am looking for any recommendations/warnings about getting an sr20 det swap installed in Massachusetts or New england area?

I have limited funds, but want to get the job done right...

I am using a 1995 240 and am looking for a turn-key install, if anyone knows any good websites that would help that would be great too!

thanks

RS

If you're looking for the SR then why does your title read "or RB"?

I would love an RB but can only afford SR!?

I am planning an SR swap, but only 200 or so HP will not satisfy. I need at least 300-320hp and to do that I will need to spend more money on a Turbo,Intercooler,BOV and probably larger injectors/fuel pump...

so I guess my question should be...

which is more economical ? sr +$$$ mods or rb with only a few $$mods?

I know some people are partial one way or the other...

I welcome the debate

Question ka turbo kits

[B]I have seen a few KA turbo kits from all of the usual suspects, why are people going to sr20 route...I dont really have an idea but I think there is more parts available for sr20. How much more difficult are rb swaps (and has anyone ever seen a dett?)

they go sr20 because its the trendy JDM thing to do. i want to be more original and i think the ka24det gets you more bang for your buck with performance than any other swap.

The SR is overly popular because of all those people who read about it in the trendy magazines and it's catching on with Honda guys who strive to be "different". To be honest it's a good swap for many reasons, but if your KA is in good shape then don't bother.
